Adds new features and enhancements to proprietary Early Cost Assessment Platform

Adds new features and enhancements to proprietary Early Cost Assessment Platform

ELMSFORD, NY – August 26, 2010 – Planet Data, a global innovator in the creation and development of defensible legal technologies, services and solutions, announced today the release of Exego Version 1.6, an update to the proprietary web-based early case assessment platform released in January. Exego is designed to provide clients a cost-effective advantage in managing large volumes of ESI data.

The update brings an array of new features specifically designed to allow clients to more efficiently sort and manage significant amounts of electronically stored information (ESI):

SEARCH SET WIZARD: Found within the administrative module, the Exego Search Set Wizard can be used to define and permanently store complex searches involving date/time filters, file size filters, file type filters, custodian filters, search queries, and post search/filter queries. When added to the ECA workflow, the Exego Search Set Wizard allows users to establish a more defensible, repeatable, and error-free searching process.

EXPORT WORKFLOW: Also found within the administrative module, Exego Export Workflow can be used to configure automated document exports using pre-defined search sets. Export Workflow simplifies the multi-step tasks involved in ECA searching and allows the creation of more efficient, controlled, and repeatable process for tagging and exporting responsive documents.

REPORTING ENHANCEMENTS: Exego Version 1.6 includes enhancements to both search analysis reporting and export reporting.

“Through seamless integration with the Exego platform, Exego Version 1.6 will allow our clients to further simplify the e-discovery process by cutting down on the proverbial “noise” and offering results in a more efficient and accurate way,” said Zoltan Horvath, president of Planet Data.

Exego distinguishes itself as a true workflow platform as part of the Cerulean Engine™. The benefit to the client is defensibility, chain of custody and quality as part of one process, insuring that data is processed correctly. Exego utilizes best practice methodologies to reduce the amount of data processed and reviewed in litigation. Designed by in-house experts in conjunction with client needs, Exego significantly reduces document review time and costs. The ability to search, filter, cull, reduce duplication and report metrics early in the discovery process allows a litigation team to be ahead of opposing counsel at the outset of a case.

...in the World of E-Discovery, What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You

Planet Data’s Howard Reissner, Esq., and Zoltan Horvath Advise Bloomberg Law Reports Readers that in the World of E-Discovery, What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You

Elmsford, NY – August 2, 2010 – Planet Data, a global innovator in the creation and development of defensible legal technologies, services and solutions, today announced that CEO Howard Reissner, Esq. and President Zoltan Horvath contributed a proactive article on e-discovery to Bloomberg Law Reports Vol. 4, No. 29 titled “No Fear . . . No Way: E-Discovery is a Complex Business – Proceed at Your Own Risk.”

“We were honored to have the opportunity to contribute to such a prestigious publication,” said Howard Reissner, who co-founded Planet Data in 2001and has built the company into a global data management services provider. “We felt that it was critical to express to Bloomberg Law Reports’ savvy audience of readers just how critical the process of e-discovery has become given the recent tightening of Federal Rules, an explosion of data in multiple formats and a turbulent global economy that are putting pressure on the judiciary system.”

Co-author Zoltan Horvath, one of the most recognized document management experts in the commercial and legal industries, said, “in this article, we stressed the importance of using the same due diligence that would be used in every other aspect of litigation to select an ESI platform because a wrong decision could irreparably damage a case and tarnish a hard-earned reputation.”

The article has created an industry-wide buzz as the legal community has awoken to the fact that it is crucial to get the e-discovery process right the first time. Find a vendor that specializes in customized ESI services and is well-versed in best practices because, as the article warns, the wrong decision could end up costing far more in the long run. What you don’t know can hurt you.

Led by Howard Reissner -Planet Data CEO- the webinar will cover current trends and guidelines needed to attain the highest level of preparation. Judge Michael M. Baylson, US District Court, the author of the “Rhoads Industries opinions”, will discuss judicial expectations and best practices. The dialogue will also address fundamentals of what is considered “adequate knowledge” of client systems and data at the outset of a case, and how ECA technologies and analytical tools can enable counsel to place their clients in an advantageous position.

The panel also features Ian Hochman Esq. (Special Counsel for E-Discovery-Willkie Farr & Gallagher) who specializes in implementing cost-efficient and defensible strategies for collection, processing, and review; and James J.
